provided pursuant to Articles 13 and 14 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679
Dear user, this notice describes how MMW S.r.l. processes the personal data of users, clients and visitors to its website, and of those who contact it by e-mail, telephone, fax or post. Processing complies with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (hereinafter the GDPR) and with Italian Legislative Decree No. 196 of 30 June 2003 (Personal Data Protection Code), as amended by Legislative Decree No. 101 of 10 August 2018. Please read the following carefully before providing us with any data.
1. Data controller
The data controller is MMW S.r.l., with registered office at Viale Giulio Cesare 71, 00192 Rome, Italy, VAT and tax code 05994081007, e-mail address info@mmwtraduzioni.com. The controller determines the purposes and means of the processing and is accountable for it under the applicable legislation.
MMW S.r.l. has not appointed a Data Protection Officer (DPO), as the conditions making such an appointment mandatory are not met. Any request concerning the processing of personal data may be addressed directly to the controller at the contact details given above.
2. Categories of data processed
In connection with the services requested, the controller processes identification data (first name, surname or company name), contact details (postal address, e-mail, telephone number, IP address), tax data (tax code, VAT number) and invoicing data. Payment for the services may be made by bank transfer or by credit or debit card, Apple Pay and Google Pay, through the secure payment page operated by Stripe Payments Europe Limited. Card details are entered directly on the Stripe platform, which processes them as an independent data controller under its own privacy notice, available at stripe.com/privacy, and are neither known to nor stored by the controller, which receives only confirmation of payment, the amount and the identification data required for accounting purposes.
Documents submitted for translation, sworn certification, legalisation or assistance with administrative procedures may contain special categories of data within the meaning of Article 9 of the GDPR, such as data concerning health, origin, religious beliefs or sexual orientation, and data relating to criminal convictions and offences within the meaning of Article 10 of the GDPR, for example in the case of criminal record certificates, medical documents or civil status records. Such data are processed only to the extent necessary to perform the service requested.
3. Purposes of the processing and legal bases
Personal data are processed for the following purposes and on the corresponding legal bases:
a) Performance of the service: handling the enquiry, the quotation, the order and the provision of translation, sworn certification, legalisation and assistance services, together with the related correspondence. Legal basis: performance of a contract or of pre-contractual measures requested by the data subject, under Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR.
b) Legal obligations: tax, accounting, administrative and record-keeping obligations. Legal basis: compliance with a legal obligation, under Article 6(1)(c) of the GDPR.
c) Security and defence of rights: security of the website and systems, fraud prevention and the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims. Legal basis: legitimate interest of the controller, under Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR.
d) Marketing to existing clients: sending, by e-mail, communications concerning services similar to those already used. Legal basis: legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR, with the right to object at any time.
e) Non-technical cookies: installation of any third-party cookies other than technical cookies. Legal basis: consent of the data subject, under Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR and Article 122 of the Italian Privacy Code, which may be withdrawn at any time. The controller does not use profiling cookies.
For special categories of data and data relating to criminal convictions contained in the documents, processing is based on the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims under Article 9(2)(f) of the GDPR, and on the performance of the engagement on the instructions and on behalf of the data subject, who provides the documents for that purpose.
4. Nature of the provision of data
The provision of the data required to perform the service and to comply with legal obligations is compulsory, and refusal prevents the provision of the service requested. The provision of data for marketing purposes is optional, and refusal does not affect the use of the services.
5. Processing methods and security measures
Processing is carried out using paper and electronic means, according to procedures related to the purposes indicated and with technical and organisational measures appropriate to ensure the security, confidentiality and integrity of the data under Article 32 of the GDPR. Data are kept in protected environments, accessible only to authorised and trained staff. Information transmitted through the website is protected by encryption protocols. Payments are made by bank transfer or through the Stripe platform, and the related data are processed by the controller solely for accounting purposes and to comply with legal obligations.
6. Recipients and categories of recipients
Data may be disclosed to external collaborators, translators and language professionals appointed as processors under Article 28 of the GDPR, to IT and hosting service providers, to Stripe Payments Europe Limited for the handling of card payments, as an independent data controller, and to authorities and public bodies where required by law or necessary for the provision of the service, such as courts, notaries, consular offices, prefectures and chambers of commerce. The controller does not sell, transfer or exchange personal data with third parties for their own purposes.
7. Transfer of data to third countries
Where the performance of the service requires the transfer of data to third countries or international organisations outside the European Economic Area, the transfer takes place in compliance with Articles 44 to 49 of the GDPR, namely on the basis of an adequacy decision of the European Commission or, failing that, of appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses, or of the derogations provided for in Article 49. The data subject may request a copy of the safeguards adopted from the controller at the contact details given above.
8. Retention period
Data are kept for as long as necessary to achieve the purposes for which they were collected and in compliance with statutory time limits. Contractual data and translated, sworn or certified documents are kept for ten years, in line with the ordinary limitation period under Article 2946 of the Italian Civil Code and the obligation to keep records under Article 2220 of the Italian Civil Code, so that further copies or reprints of earlier translations may be issued, unless the data subject requests otherwise. Invoicing data are kept for the period required by tax legislation. Data processed for marketing purposes are kept until consent is withdrawn or the data subject objects.
9. Rights of the data subject
The data subject may exercise against the controller the rights provided for in Articles 15 to 22 of the GDPR, in particular the right of access to their data, the right to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and the right to object to processing based on legitimate interest. Where processing is based on consent, the data subject has the right to withdraw it at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal. Requests may be sent to info@mmwtraduzioni.com, together with a copy of the applicant's identity document. The controller responds to requests without undue delay and in any event within the statutory time limits.
10. Right to lodge a complaint
A data subject who considers that the processing of their data infringes the applicable legislation has the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali) under Article 77 of the GDPR, or to bring proceedings before the competent court.
11. Absence of automated decision-making
The controller does not use automated decision-making, including profiling, which produces legal effects concerning the data subject or similarly significantly affects them within the meaning of Article 22 of the GDPR. The controller does not profile its clients.
12. Personal data breaches
In the event of a personal data breach that entails a risk to the rights and freedoms of data subjects, the controller notifies the breach to the Italian Data Protection Authority without undue delay and, where feasible, within seventy-two hours under Article 33 of the GDPR, and, where the breach presents a high risk, communicates it to the data subjects under Article 34.
13. Cookies and tracking tools
The website uses technical cookies, which are necessary for its operation and for which no consent is required. When the website is opened, a banner allows the user to give or refuse consent to the installation of any third-party cookies other than technical cookies, with a free and granular choice and equal prominence given to acceptance and refusal, in compliance with the Guidelines of the Italian Data Protection Authority of 10 June 2021 and Article 122 of the Italian Privacy Code. The controller uses neither profiling cookies nor statistical analysis tools. Detailed information on the cookies installed, their type, purpose and duration is provided in the cookie policy set out below, which is also referred to in the banner.
14. Changes to this notice
The controller reserves the right to update this notice to reflect changes in legislation or in the services offered. The version in force is the one published on the website, showing the date of the last update. Material changes will be brought to the attention of data subjects with reasonable notice.

Cookie policy
Notice on the use of cookies pursuant to Article 122 of Legislative Decree No. 196/2003 and the Guidelines of the Italian Data Protection Authority of 10 June 2021
This cookie policy describes the types of cookies used by the website www.traduzionigiurateroma.it, their purposes and the ways in which the user can manage or withdraw consent. The data controller is MMW S.r.l., with registered office at Viale Giulio Cesare 71, 00192 Rome, Italy, VAT and tax code 05994081007, e-mail address info@mmwtraduzioni.com. This notice supplements and forms part of the general privacy notice on the processing of personal data, to which reference is made.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that the websites visited send to the user's device, where they are stored and sent back to the same websites on subsequent visits. Technical cookies are necessary for the operation of the website and do not require the user's consent. Profiling cookies and third-party cookies other than technical cookies require the prior free, specific and informed consent of the data subject.
2. Technical and necessary cookies
The website uses technical and necessary cookies only, which serve navigation and the management of consent preferences and for which no consent is required under Article 122 of the Italian Privacy Code. The preference cookie tgr_consent stores the choice made by the user in the banner for twelve months and is a technical cookie. The same choice is also kept in the local storage of the user's browser, solely so that the banner is not shown again. WordPress session cookies are set only for authenticated users administering the website and last no longer than the working session.
3. Third-party cookies
The website embeds no maps, videos, social buttons, remote fonts or other third-party services that set cookies. Fonts are hosted on the website's own server. Links to external websites, such as Google Maps for the location of the offices, WhatsApp, the portal of the Italian Ministry of Justice and the secure payment page operated by Stripe, open external pages subject to their own notices, and no third-party cookie is set while browsing this website.
4. Absence of profiling and analytics cookies
The website uses no profiling cookies, no advertising cookies and no traffic analytics tools. No tracking of user behaviour is carried out for marketing purposes.
5. Managing and withdrawing consent
On the first visit to the website a notice banner allows the user to accept or decline, with equal prominence, the storage of their choice. Since the website uses technical cookies only, declining does not restrict navigation in any way: only the choice made will be stored. Cookies may also be managed or deleted through the browser settings, following the instructions made available by the respective providers for Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, Safari and Opera. Deleting the tgr_consent cookie causes the banner to be shown again on the next visit.
6. Rights of the data subject and complaints
The data subject may exercise the rights provided for in Articles 15 to 22 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679, including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection and withdrawal of consent, by writing to info@mmwtraduzioni.com. The data subject also has the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali) under Article 77 of the Regulation. For any further information on the processing of personal data, reference is made to the general privacy notice published on the website.
