The sworn translation, certified translation and legalisation services of MMW S.r.l. are governed by the general terms and conditions set out in the document at the foot of this page (in Italian), which the client accepts on placing the order. The essential points are summarised below.
Quotation and placing of the order
Every order is preceded by a written quotation, free of charge and without obligation, prepared on the basis of a scan of the document and of the authority it is intended for. The quotation states the form required (sworn translation, certified translation, legalisation or Apostille), the delivery time and the total amount, inclusive of stamp duty where due. The quotation remains valid for fourteen days from the date it is sent, reduced to twenty-four hours for orders marked as urgent. The order is placed on written acceptance of the quotation, by e-mail or WhatsApp. Sworn and certified translations and legalisations are personalised services, carried out at the client's request from the moment of confirmation: once confirmed they cannot be revoked and remain payable in full, as provided for in article 16 of the general terms and conditions.
Documents and the client's responsibilities
The client warrants the authenticity and completeness of the documents supplied and states the receiving authority, on which the form of the translation and any legalisation depend. The official translator is responsible for the faithfulness of the translation, not for the content or validity of the original document.
Payment
Payment is made by credit or debit card, Apple Pay or Google Pay from the Pay online by card page, on a secure page operated by Stripe and without surcharge, or by bank transfer to the account given on the quotation, or at our office when collecting by appointment. For matters handled in stages the quotation states the deposit due at the outset and the balance on delivery. Sworn translations are released on receipt of payment in full. The invoice is issued by the practice with the details supplied by the client.
Delivery and dispatch
Sworn translations are delivered as paper originals at our offices at Viale Giulio Cesare 71, Rome, by appointment, or sent by courier throughout Italy and abroad, with the cost of dispatch stated in the quotation. Certified translations can also be delivered as a signed PDF.
Confidentiality
Documents received are treated in the strictest confidence and are not disclosed to third parties except as required to carry out the order (oath, legalisation, dispatch). On request the practice signs the confidentiality agreement below. Personal data are processed in accordance with our privacy policy.
